A Creative Collaboration at Tonyraka Gallery explores how authentic art and artifacts from the Indonesian archipelago can be paired with contemporary custom designer furnishings to create vivid environments for living. This collaboration demonstrates how living-with-art and finely designed furnishings enhances one’s appreciation of both disciplines.
Displayed in a compound of vintage repurposed Javanese Joglo structures at the Tonyraka Gallery, Kamala Home created a series of contemporary designer furniture and cabinetry. These designer pieces mingle impressively among both the modern and primitive curated art and artifacts. A unique range of decorative throw pillows made from Indonesian artisan fabrics adds color and pattern to further define the interior spaces.
