The Palm Springs Desert Villa serves as the fall-and-winter desert hang-out for our New York City Client. Set within a private golf course community, the 1970’s era home needed an interior refresh to suit our young mover-and-shaker Client. He was drawn to the mid-century architecture and interiors so prevalent in the Palm Springs DNA.
Influenced by the irreverence and energy of the Hollywood “Rat-Pak” era the Client wanted a contemporary reinterpretation of mid-century modern in his furnishings. Anchoring the living room is a custom-made expansive teak framed lounge sofa with chrome legs offering-up plenty-of-attitude. The Client’s one request was to tone-down the camp and dial-up the sophistication of his mid-century inspired abode.
